There's a lot of meals that has pork in it, like the all time favorite of the Filipinos called Lechon, there's also Liempo, Sisig, Bacon, Menudo, Crispy Pata, and a lot more. It's just that Filipinos tend to love pork, too much consumption of pork has been an inevitable part in our daily lives for everyone. It's like eating pork was engraved in our culture.
So why is it bad for us to eat too much pork?
A lot of experts (scientists, doctors, and other medical field professionals), have been arguing whether it is safe to eat pork or not since pork may be quite unsafe for us to eat as it contains different parasites and bacteria's that are actually harmful to our bodies.
Pigs are sometimes fed with pellets that we aren't aware with what chemicals are in it, they're also fed with leftover spoiled food and even feces, which makes those pork's bodies to have toxic substances inside their bodies. These toxic substances from the food that they eat can break down, and further spread all over the meat in their body.
Are there studies about eating too much pork?
According to the claims of those experts who said that eating too much pork isn't good for anyone, there was a certain study that shows the microorganism called Yersinia Enteroclitic was spotted in a pork that they were studying.
Yersinia Enteroclitic can cause serious issues for a person such as cramps, diarrhea, gastrointestinal sickness, fever, and even vomiting.
There were other studies that showed that Ractopamine, and Trichinella were also found in the pork's that they've studied. Ractopamine is an additive for pigs that can cause problems for a person's reproductive health, give's birth defects to a new born baby, and even cause death. While Trichinella is a parasitic roundworm which is capable in causing myalgia, endema, and even fever.
So, how can we battle out these bacteria's, and toxic substances?
There's only one way of killing these bacteria's, parasites, and other toxic substances in the food that we are going to eat, and that is the way of cooking pork, or other meats in high temperature so that these microorganisms will eventually die and won't take a big toll in your health.
